Alright, so you wanna watch them BSU football games, huh? It ain’t rocket science, I tell ya. It’s easier than milkin’ a cow, and I’ve milked plenty in my day, let me tell ya. So, listen up, and I’ll tell ya how to do it.

First thing’s first, ya gotta figure out when them boys are playin’. You can’t just turn on the TV and expect ’em to be there, can ya? That’s like expectin’ eggs from a rooster! You gotta find the schedule. Now, where do ya find the schedule? Well, these days, everyone’s got them fancy phones, right? You can look it up on that thing. Or, if you’re like me and prefer the old ways, you can check the newspaper. They still print them things, ya know? Or ask your grandkids, they know everything about them computer things.
Okay, so you know when they’re playin’. Now ya gotta figure out where to watch it. This is where it gets a little tricky, but not too tricky, mind you. Sometimes, them games are on regular TV. You know, the channels you get with that there antenna thingy on your roof. If you’re lucky, it’ll be on one of them. They usually say somethin’ like “Channel 2” or “Channel 7”. You gotta keep an eye out for that.
But, a lot of times, them games are on them fancy cable channels. You know, the ones you gotta pay extra for. ESPN, that’s a big one. And Fox Sports, and all them others. If you got cable, you’re probably good to go. Just find the right channel and you’re set. But if you don’t have cable, don’t go cryin’ about it. There’s still hope.
These days, you can stream them games, whatever that means. It’s like watchin’ TV on that computer thingy, or your phone. My grandkids showed me how to do it once. There’s these things called apps. You gotta download them apps, whatever that means. And then you gotta pay, sometimes. It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me, but them young folks seem to understand it.
- One app they talk about is called FuboTV. They say you can watch games on there. I think they even got a free trial, whatever that is. You can try it out and see if you like it.
- Then there’s SlingTV. That one’s cheaper, they say. Good for folks on a budget, like me.
- And then there’s DirecTV Stream. That one sounds fancy, but they also got a free trial, so maybe it’s worth a look.
Now, sometimes, them games are on different channels, depending on who they’re playin’. Like, if they’re playin’ Oregon, it might be on one channel, and if they’re playin’ Portland State, it might be on another. You just gotta pay attention and figure it out. It ain’t always easy, I tell ya.
And sometimes, them games are on late at night. I don’t know why they do that. Us old folks gotta get our sleep, ya know? But if you’re really wantin’ to watch it, you can always record it and watch it later. That’s what my grandkids do. They got these fancy boxes that record everything. I tell ya, technology these days, it’s somethin’ else.

Oh, and another thing. Sometimes, them games are on the radio. You remember the radio, don’t ya? You can listen to the game while you’re doin’ other things, like cookin’ dinner or knittin’ a sweater. It ain’t as good as watchin’ it, but it’s better than nothin’.
And let me tell ya somethin’ else about them football games. They got these things called “odds”. I don’t really understand it, but it’s somethin’ about who’s gonna win and by how much. Like, they might say Boise State is a “7-point favorite”. That means they’re supposed to win by seven points, or somethin’ like that. Them smart fellas who make the odds, they usually know what they’re talkin’ about, but sometimes they’re wrong. That’s why they play the game, I guess.
So, there ya have it. That’s how you watch them BSU football games. It ain’t so hard, once you get the hang of it. Just remember to check the schedule, find the right channel or app, and settle in for some good football. And don’t forget to cheer on them Broncos! Go Broncos! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about football has made me hungry.
One last thing, if you still can’t figure it out, ask your neighbor or go down to the local bar. There’s always someone who knows how to find the game.
