Well, I’ve heard some folks talkin’ about wrestling comin’ to our town, Phoenix, Arizona. Folks get all riled up for it, you know? WWE they call it. Sounds like a bunch of strong fellas beatin’ each other up, kinda like the chickens in my yard when they fight over a bug.
Now, when is it comin’, you ask? That’s the real question, ain’t it? I heard some fellas down at the store sayin’ somethin’ about Friday Night SmackDown. They said it’s gonna be at that Footprint Center place. Big ol’ building downtown, you know the one? Always somethin’ goin’ on there, concerts, basketball, and now this wrestlin’ thing.

They were yappin’ about some fella named Cody Rhodes, the “American Nightmare” they call him. And some other names too, like LA Knight and Solo Sikoa and Tiffany Stratton. Don’t know ’em from Adam, but I guess they’re a big deal in that wrestlin’ world. Sounds like a whole lotta show-offin’ if you ask me.
- WWE Friday Night SmackDown
- Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona
- Big names like Cody Rhodes and LA Knight
- Tickets at Ticketmaster or the Footprint Center app
Now, about them tickets… they said you gotta buy ’em from Ticketmaster or that Footprint Center app. Don’t know nothin’ about them apps, I just use cash. But them young folks, they’re always glued to their phones, so I guess they know how to do it. They said somethin’ about the tickets goin’ on sale November 12th. So, if you wanna go, you better get on that, I reckon.
I heard them fellas at the store talkin’ about how sometimes these WWE shows are on Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays too. They even have somethin’ called “Monday Night Raw” and “NXT 2.0”. It’s all a bit confusing to me, all these different names and days. But it sounds like this one in Phoenix, the “SmackDown” one, is gonna be on a Friday. And that’s January 3rd, they say. Right after New Year’s. So you can eat your collard greens and black-eyed peas for good luck on the first, then go watch some wrestlin’ on the third.
Them fellas were also jabberin’ about a “Superstar Experience Package”. Said you could meet them wrestlers and get some fancy merchandise. But that sounds like a whole lotta money, and I ain’t got money to throw around like that. I’d rather buy a new feed bucket for my chickens. They get riled up enough without havin’ to pay extra to see somebody else get riled up.
Now, I ain’t never been to one of these wrestlin’ matches myself. Don’t see the point of watchin’ grown men pretend to fight. But folks seem to like it. They holler and cheer and have a good ol’ time. And I guess that’s alright. To each their own, I always say. If you like watchin’ fellas in spandex jumpin’ around and throwin’ each other, then you go on and have yourself a time.
So, to recap, WWE Friday Night SmackDown is comin’ to Phoenix, Arizona, at the Footprint Center on January 3rd. Tickets go on sale November 12th. You can get ’em at Ticketmaster or the Footprint Center app. They got big names like Cody Rhodes and LA Knight. And if you got extra cash, you can buy a fancy package to meet the wrestlers and get some stuff. But that’s up to you. Me? I’ll be at home with my chickens, thank you very much.

I also heard some talk about WWE shows in other places too. Seems like they go all over the country. Places like Minneapolis, Hartford, and Tampa. They mentioned dates like December 6th, 13th, and 27th for those places. So, it seems like these wrestlers are always on the go, jumpin’ from one town to the next. Must be tirin’, all that travelin’. But I guess they make good money doin’ it. Otherwise, why would they be doin’ it, right?
So there you have it. That’s all I know about this wrestlin’ thing comin’ to Phoenix. Now, I gotta go feed them chickens. They’re gettin’ restless, and I don’t want ’em tearin’ up my yard. They’re more trouble than a pack of wild dogs sometimes, I tell you what. But they give me fresh eggs, so I can’t complain too much.
