Alright, so you wanna know about this fella, Will Bartlett, huh? Sounds like a good, strong name, like a fella who can chop wood. I ain’t no baseball expert, mind you, but I can tell ya what I heard and what I reckon it all means.
First off, they say this Will plays first base and sometimes in the outfield, over there on the left side. Now, first base, that’s important, right? You gotta catch all them throws, gotta be steady. And the outfield, well, that’s where you gotta run and catch them fly balls. Sounds like he’s gotta be kinda all-around, you know? Big fella too, they say he’s 6-2 and weighs, uh, 215 pounds. That’s a lot of beef! Born in 2001, so he’s just a young’un, still got a lot of learnin’ to do.

They got all these numbers for him, like batting average and RBIs. Batting average, that’s how many times he hits the ball and gets on base, I think. They say his is .203. Now, I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but it don’t sound too high to me. Like hittin’ two outta ten pitches. And them RBIs, that’s when he hits the ball and other fellas get to run home and score. He’s got 93 of them, over his whole career. Took him 241 games to get that many. That’s a lot of games, must be playin’ near every day.
Seems like he plays for a buncha different teams. I heard tell of the Cleveland Guardians, the Lake County Captains, and the Lynchburg Hillcats. Sounds like a lot of movin’ around to me. One minute he’s here, the next he’s there. They even sent him down to somethin’ called the ACL Indians for a while, said it was a “rehab assignment.” Maybe he got hurt? Heard somethin’ about a hamstring problem. That’s in your leg, you know, makes it hard to run. And runnin’ is mighty important in baseball, I reckon.
- Teams: Cleveland Guardians, Lake County Captains, Lynchburg Hillcats, ACL Indians.
- Positions: First Base, Left Field
- Born: February 2, 2001
- Batting Average: .203
- RBIs: 93
They say he’s hit 12 home runs. Now, that’s somethin’ I understand! Hit the ball so hard it goes over the fence, right? That’s gotta feel good, sendin’ that ball flyin’. I bet the crowd goes wild when he does that. But seems like he ain’t hittin’ too many of them, only 12 in all them games. Maybe he needs to eat more Wheaties, like they say on TV.
I tried lookin’ up what they think he’s gonna do this year, in 2024, but they ain’t sayin’ much. Maybe they don’t know, maybe they’re waitin’ to see how he does. Just gotta hope that hamstring of his is better and he can get back to playin’ good ball. You know, baseball is a tough game. You gotta be strong, gotta be quick, and you gotta be lucky too. Hope this Will fella has all three.
So, that’s about all I know about this Will Bartlett. He’s a young fella, playin’ baseball, movin’ around a lot, and hittin’ some home runs now and then. Sounds like he’s workin’ hard, tryin’ to make a name for himself. Gotta give him credit for that. Just gotta stay healthy and keep swingin’ that bat. Who knows, maybe he’ll be a big star someday. Or maybe he’ll just be a good, solid player. Either way, long as he’s doin’ what he loves, that’s all that matters, right?
One last thing, I heard tell there’s all kindsa information about him online. You know, on that there internet thingy. Stats and stories and all that. If you wanna know more, you can go look it up yourself. Just type in his name, Will Bartlett, and “baseball,” and you’ll find it all. But be careful, that internet is a mighty big place, you can get lost in there.

And that’s the gospel truth, as far as I know it.
