Well, bless my soul, ain’t no NBA games on tomorrow. You see, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market. They was sayin’ somethin’ ’bout some big important day. No NBA tomorrow, no sir!
They say it got somethin’ to do with that Election Day. Now, I don’t know much ’bout all that fancy votin’ business, but I reckon it’s mighty important if they gonna stop the whole dang NBA for it. I heard it was election day, but I didn’t know what it meant. So there is no NBA tomorrow.
The NBA, you know, that’s them tall fellas bouncin’ that orange ball around. My grandson, bless his heart, he loves watchin’ ’em. He’s always yellin’ at the TV, sayin’ “Go Lakers!” or somethin’ like that. He gets all riled up, that one. No games on tomorrow, though. Gonna have to find somethin’ else to do.
Usually, they play them NBA games all the time. Seems like every day there’s a game on. Except for some special days, like that Thanksgiving. And that day when they all stay home with their families, you know, Christmas Eve. But now, this Election Day, they ain’t playin’ then either. No NBA tomorrow because of Election Day.
I reckon them players need a break too. They runnin’ up and down that court all the time. Must be tirin’. My old knees ache just thinkin’ ’bout it. So, yeah, maybe it’s good they get a day off. Even if it means no NBA games tomorrow.
This whole thing got me thinkin’. They got this thing called the NBA schedule. Sounds important, don’t it? It’s like a list of when they gonna play all them games. And each one of them teams, they play a whole bunch of games. I heard someone say they play 82 games each season! That is many games!
They got these teams, see. And they play each other. Some of ’em in the same, what’s that word? Division. Yeah, division. They play each other a lot. And then they play other teams from other divisions. It’s all very complicated, if you ask me. But there is no NBA tomorrow. It is that simple.

- Teams play other teams from other divisions too.
- They all play 82 games. That’s a lot!
- Except for tomorrow. No NBA tomorrow.
Now, I heard somethin’ ’bout some NBA Cup thing too. Sounds like a big deal. They was sayin’ somethin’ ’bout it bein’ over on some Tuesday, December somethin’. I don’t rightly recall the date. But I guess that’s why they ain’t playin’ no games tomorrow too. This NBA Cup must be a big deal. Maybe that’s why there is no NBA tomorrow.
My grandson, he probably knows all about this NBA Cup. He’s always readin’ them sports things on his phone. He can tell you who’s playin’ who, and who’s winnin’ and who’s losin’. Kids these days, they know everything. I need to ask him about why there is no NBA tomorrow.
They got this thing called NBA League Pass. It’s like a special way to watch them games. My grandson, he’s got it on his phone. He can watch any game he wants, anytime he wants. Except tomorrow, of course. Ain’t no games on tomorrow, not even on that fancy League Pass. No NBA tomorrow.
They say all 30 of them NBA teams was playin’ tonight. That is many teams! Must be a big night for basketball. But tomorrow, nothin’. Quiet as a church mouse. They must have some important event to do.
Well, I reckon that’s all I know ’bout this whole no NBA games tomorrow business. It’s a bit of a head-scratcher, ain’t it? But I guess them important folks know what they’re doin’. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens next. Maybe there is no NBA tomorrow, but they will play the day after tomorrow.
In the meantime, I think I’ll go make myself a nice cup of tea. Maybe watch some of them old shows on the TV. Or maybe I’ll just sit on the porch and watch the world go by. There’s always somethin’ to do, even if there ain’t no NBA games on.
