Well, let me tell you, I gotta figure out this whole thing about watchin’ that Colorado football. My grandson, he’s always goin’ on and on about them Buffaloes, and I wanna see what all the fuss is about. This whole watchin’ games these days, it ain’t like it used to be. Back in my day, you just turned on the TV, and there it was! Now, there’s all these fancy words and things.
So, I hear these young folks talkin’ about “streamin’.” What’s that all about? Sounds like somethin’ you do in a creek. They say you can watch the Colorado game that way. And somethin’ called ESPN, and FOX, and ABC. Lord, it’s a whole lot of letters! I just want to see that Colorado football game. They used to be in somethin’ called the Big 12, I hear. That sounds familiar, like from way back when. Now they’re back in it, that’s what they tell me.

One thing I heard is somethin’ called Hulu. Sounds like a dance to me. But they say you can watch games on it. And Sling somethin’. Sling what? Sling a potato? Sling a rock at them players? I don’t know. They sure make it complicated. I just wanna know, plain and simple, where to watch Colorado football. That’s all I’m askin’.
This one fella, he’s got a funny name…Shedeur Sanders. That name is as difficult as figuring out how to watch the game. I think he plays for the team. They talk about him a lot. Must be a good one. And somethin’ about Utah, they play against them. And Kansas, too. They sure do play a lot of different teams. Play-by-play, color, all these terms. What happened to just watchin’ the darn game?
- That ESPN thing, they say that’s on a lot.
- Then there’s ESPN2. What, they got two of ’em now?
- And FOX, like the animal?
- This ABC, that’s like the alphabet!
- FS1, that sounds like a tractor model.
They say you need somethin’ called a subscription. Like buyin’ a magazine? You gotta pay to watch? Back in my day, the TV was free, ‘cept for buyin’ the TV, of course. And the electricity, gotta pay for that. This whole DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, YouTube TV… it’s a mouthful. And that ESPN+, what, they couldn’t fit it on regular ESPN? See, this is what I’m talkin’ about. Too much!
And this Big 12, they say the games are on that, too. They got games on everything these days! They play at some field…GEHA Field, Arrowhead somethin’. That sounds like somethin’ out of an old Western movie. I just want a simple answer. Just tell me where to watch Colorado football, that’s all I ask! They say these Buffaloes, they got a good record. Won somethin’ big back in 1990, a championship, I hear. That’s a long time ago. They been around a long time these Buffaloes.
This whole thing with the time zones, too. ET, PT. What’s that stand for, extra time? Potato time? They say the games start at different times. 3:30 PM ET, 12:30 PM PT. It’s like a secret code. It is all very confusing for a simple folk like me.
They say they got some good players on that Colorado football team. Hope they’re good boys. My grandson, he sure thinks they are. He’s always wearin’ that black and gold. That’s their colors, you know. Black and gold, like a bumblebee. Maybe I’ll get him to explain all this to me. He’s good with these newfangled things. I just want to watch them play football, that is all I want to do.

They say you can watch it on your phone, too. Your phone! Imagine that. Watchin’ a whole football game on that little thing. My eyes ain’t what they used to be. I can barely see the numbers on the phone, let alone a whole football game. I guess that’s for the young folks. They’re always lookin’ at their phones, anyway.
Maybe I’ll just stick to listenin’ to it on the radio. They still do that, right? Play the games on the radio? That’s how we used to do it. Before all this fancy TV stuff. Just listen to the fella describe the game. He’d get all excited, yellin’ and hollerin’. That was fun. Good old times, those days were much simpler, that is for sure.
I’m gonna figure this out, though. I’m gonna learn where to watch Colorado football. For my grandson. And for me, too. I wanna see what all the hoopla is about. These Buffaloes, they sound like somethin’ to see. I just hope I can find them on the TV. Or the computer. Or the phone. Or wherever they’re hidin’ these days! It shouldn’t be this hard, though, should it?
