I’ve been a World Wrestling Entertainment fan my whole life. I still remember watching it with my dad when I was a kid. So when I saw some news online about WWE coming to Chicago, Illinois, I knew I had to get to the bottom of this.
First, I jumped onto the internet and started digging. I typed in “WWE Chicago events” into the search bar and hit enter. The search results page was full of different websites with event listings and news articles. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. I just wanted to know if they’re coming to town soon.
I decided to click on some of the top results. One website talked about an upcoming SmackDown event at the Allstate Arena on Friday, April 4, 2025. That’s pretty cool, but it’s more than a year away! I was hoping for something sooner. I also saw something about a Monday Night RAW event happening on March 25, 2024, also at the Allstate Arena.
Then I came across some news about a Survivor Series event in Chicago on November 25, 2023. That’s already passed, darn it! But this got me thinking – if they were here just a few months ago, maybe they’ll be back soon, right?
- Digging Deeper into Ticket Sites
I decided to switch my focus to ticket websites. Maybe they’d have more up-to-date info. So I started browsing through a couple of popular ticket sites. There were a bunch of listings for WWE events all over the country, but nothing concrete for Chicago in the near future. I saw a lot of “sold out” notices for past events, which was a bit of a bummer.
- Checking WWE’s Official Website
Then it hit me – why didn’t I just go to the source? I went straight to the official WWE website. I found their events section and started scrolling through. They had a whole calendar laid out, but most of the upcoming events were in other cities. I did see that they’re promoting something called the “Raw on Netflix Premiere” this Monday, which sounds interesting, but it’s not a live event in Chicago.
- Looking into News Articles
I went back to those news articles I found earlier. One of them mentioned that a wrestler named CM Punk, who’s from Chicago, might be facing off against Gunther in a future event. That got me excited! I’m a huge CM Punk fan. I even watched a match video – CM Punk vs Gunther Steel Cage, it was awesome! There was another article about WWE producing a revival of Saturday Night’s Main Event, with the first episode airing on December 14 from Nassau Coliseum. So, while there’s no confirmed Chicago date yet, it seems like WWE is definitely planning some big things, and they often come to Chicago. And one site said MLW Announces Return to Chicago on May 10.
So, after all this searching, here’s what I figured out: There’s no WWE event scheduled for Chicago in the immediate future, but they were here recently for Survivor Series. There’s a SmackDown event scheduled for April 4, 2025, at the Allstate Arena, and a RAW event on March 25, 2024. Plus, with all the buzz around CM Punk and other big events, it’s probably only a matter of time before they announce another Chicago show. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled and my fingers crossed!
But for now, I am happy to know the exact date when WWE is coming to Chicago in the near future.
