Alright, guys, so I’ve been on this mission to find the absolute cheapest way to get my NFL RedZone fix. You know, that channel that shows all the touchdowns and exciting moments from every game on Sundays? Yeah, that one. I’m a huge football fan, but I’m also on a budget, so I needed to figure this out without breaking the bank. Here’s how I did it.
My Hunt for RedZone Savings
First, I started with the obvious – checking out the major cable providers. I looked at their packages, but man, those things are pricey! To get RedZone, you usually have to subscribe to some high-tier sports package, and I just wasn’t about to pay that much just for one channel, even if it’s RedZone.
So, I moved on to streaming services. This seemed like a more promising route, since they often have more flexible and cheaper options. I dug into Sling TV. Their “Sports Extra” add-on has RedZone, and it’s way cheaper than traditional cable.
I also checked out YouTube TV. It’s a bit pricier than Sling TV, but, it also offers RedZone in its sports add-on. This seemed like another possible. But I am finding the cheapest possible, so keep digging.
Then there’s the official NFL app route. I found out that you could subscribe to NFL+, which includes RedZone, but only on mobile devices. Since I much prefer my RedZone on the big screen, that wasn’t ideal.
My Cheapskate Strategy
After all that searching, here’s what I decided to do: I went with Sling TV’s “Sports Extra” add-on. It was really the most budget-friendly of the bunch. I already had a basic Sling subscription, so adding the sports package wasn’t too painful on the wallet.
And it’s working out great! I get my RedZone fix every Sunday, and I’m not blowing my whole budget on it.
