Okay, so the other day, I was watching a Baylor football game with a buddy, and we got into this whole debate about how big their stadium actually is. I mean, we were seeing all those people on TV, and it looked massive, but we couldn’t really picture it in our heads. So, I decided to do some digging and figure it out myself.
My Stadium Size Investigation
First, I grabbed my phone and just did a quick search. I typed in “Baylor football stadium capacity” and boom, there it was. A bunch of articles popped up, and I quickly learned the stadium’s name is McLane Stadium.

I skimmed a few of the results, and it looked like the official capacity is somewhere around 45,140. Honestly, that number didn’t mean much to me just sitting there. I needed something more concrete to really grasp it.
Next, I tried to think about other stadiums I’ve been to or seen. I remembered a concert I went to at a pretty big arena, and I looked up its capacity. It was around 20,000, so I started thinking, “Okay, McLane Stadium is more than double that!” That started to give me a better sense of scale.
Then,I started picturing things like,How many high school football fields could be placed * gave me a reference,so Baylor’s stadium would be much bigger than *’s always helpful to find something familiar to compare it to.
Putting It All Together
After all this searching and thinking, here’s how I finally wrapped my head around the size of McLane Stadium:
- It’s officially listed at around 45,140 seats.
- It’s more than twice the size of that big arena I went to for a concert.
- It’s way bigger than any high school field or anything like that.
So, yeah, it’s pretty darn big! It might not be the absolute biggest stadium out there, but it’s definitely a substantial place. It was a fun little research project, and now I can picture it much better next time I’m watching a game.
