Alright, listen up y’all, let’s talk about this USC football game tonight, or whenever it’s gonna be on. People keep askin’, “What channel is that darn game on?” Well, hold your horses, I’m gonna tell ya, but it ain’t always simple like findin’ a rooster in a hen house.
First off, you gotta know when the game is. Is it tonight, tomorrow, next week? These football fellas, they play all sorts of times. Sometimes it’s on a Saturday afternoon, like that time my grandson Billy had his birthday party and we missed the whole first half. Other times, it’s late at night, and I’m already snoring louder than a tractor. So, check the schedule. That’s the first thing. They got these things called “schedules” now, printed on paper and even on them fancy computin’ machines.

Now, once you know the date and time, then you can figure out the channel. This is where it gets tricky, like tryin’ to catch a greased pig at the county fair. See, these games, they ain’t always on the same channel. One week it might be on one of them big networks, like NBC. Yeah, the one with the peacock. I saw that peacock once at the zoo, pretty bird, but loud. Anyways, sometimes the USC game is on NBC, especially if it’s a big deal game, like when they play them Bruins from UCLA. Them fellas always give USC a run for their money, like that time my prize-winning pumpkin got stolen at the fair…still haven’t figured out who did that.
Then there’s this other channel, CBS. They got all sorts of shows on there, even them soap operas my daughter-in-law watches. Sometimes, the USC game pops up on CBS, especially if they’re playin’ someone important, like that Notre Dame team. Them Notre Dame fellas got them shiny gold helmets. Always thought they looked like they belonged in a king’s treasure chest more than on a football field. So, keep an eye out for CBS, especially if it’s a Saturday afternoon game. They seem to like showin’ football in the afternoons. Probably ‘cause that’s when folks are sittin’ around after church, lookin’ for somethin’ to do besides chores.
And don’t forget about Fox. That’s another one of them big channels. They got the news and them funny cartoons, and sometimes, yes sir, they got the USC football game. So, if you can’t find it on NBC or CBS, try Fox. It’s like lookin’ for eggs in the henhouse; gotta check all the nests.
- Check the schedule first! That’s the most important thing. Know the date and the time.
- Look for the big networks: NBC, CBS, and Fox. They usually got the big games.
- Sometimes, it’s on a different channel: Like this B1G+ thing they got now. It’s for them college games, I think. Sounds complicated to me. I like my buttons big and my channels easy to find.
Now, if you still can’t find the darn game, there’s always that Fubo thing. My nephew, he’s got it. Says it’s like havin’ a hundred channels all in one box. Sounds like a whole lotta noise to me. But he says you can watch the USC game on there, even if it ain’t on regular TV. And there’s somethin’ called DirecTV too. Sounds fancy. Seems like you gotta pay extra for all these newfangled things, though. Back in my day, we had one channel, and we liked it! Well, sometimes we didn’t like it, but it was all we had.
And let’s not forget about where they’re playin’. If they’re playin’ at home, in Los Angeles, at that Coliseum place, it might be on a different channel than if they’re travelin’ somewhere else. Like that time they went to play Utah State. That game was on late at night! I almost missed my bedtime. So, the location matters too. It’s all part of the puzzle.
So, to recap, find the schedule, then check the big channels: NBC, CBS, and Fox. If it ain’t there, try Fubo or maybe that DirecTV thing. And remember, the time and the location of the game can change things too. It’s like bakin’ a cake; gotta have all the right ingredients and follow the recipe. And sometimes, even then, the cake falls flat. But hopefully, you’ll find that USC football game. Just gotta be a little bit like a detective, and a little bit lucky.

Now, I gotta go feed the chickens. They’re probably squawkin’ louder than them football announcers by now. Hope you find that game, and may the best team win…unless they’re playin’ against USC, then go Trojans!
Game Time ain’t always set in stone. They might say 3:00 PM ET, which means somethin’ about Eastern Time, or 11:00 PM ET. All these different times zones make my head spin. Just remember to figure out what time that means where you are. Otherwise, you might be sittin’ down for supper when everyone else is watchin’ the kickoff.
And if you want to actually go to the game, well, you gotta get tickets. StubHub, they say. Sounds expensive to me. I’d rather watch it on TV, sittin’ in my comfy chair, with a glass of sweet tea.
One last thing, if it’s women’s basketball you’re lookin’ for, sometimes they play at the Galen Center. That’s a different place, and they might be on that B1G+ channel. Seems like there’s always somethin’ new to learn these days. Makes an old lady tired just thinkin’ about it.
