Well, let me tell ya, figuring out this whole F1 qualifying thing, it ain’t as easy as pie. My grandson, he’s always glued to that TV when them cars are zooming around. He keeps yelling about something called “qualifying.” I asked him, “What’s that all about?” He just rolled his eyes. Kids these days! So, I had to figure it out myself. This old brain ain’t as quick as it used to be, but I got there in the end.
So, what channel is F1 qualifying on, you ask? Well, it’s a bit of a mess, if you ask me. Seems like it changes more often than the weather around here. One day it’s on this channel, the next it’s on that one. Makes my head spin!
I think sometimes it’s on that ESPN thing. You know, the one with all the sports. They show all sorts of things, like that ball game with the fellas running around in tight pants. They have ESPN, ESPN2, and maybe ABC, I heard. They show different races.
Sometimes, these races happen in the morning. Sometimes, they happen at night. It is really confusing. Like that race in Las Vegas, I heard it’s shown at 10 pm at night. Who can stay up that late?
- First, you gotta find out where the race is.
- Then, you gotta figure out what time it is there.
- Then, you gotta look it up on your TV guide.
It is different depending on where you are. Like, if you’re over in that Las Vegas place, it’s gonna be different than if you’re here with me. Different time zones and all that. I don’t understand it all, but my grandson, he seems to get it. I don’t know why they can’t just show it on the same channel all the time! It would make things a whole lot easier for folks like me.
My neighbor, she says she watches it on something called Sky Sports F1. I don’t have that one. Costs extra, I reckon. And you know, money doesn’t grow on trees! She says they show all the practices and all that stuff, too. More than you can shake a stick at, I’ll bet. I do not need that much.
Now, they got this thing called “local time.” What is local time? This is my local time! But it seems like it means the time where the race is happening. They also talk about GMT. What’s that? Who knows! They should just say it plain and simple!
And don’t even get me started on that “F1 Kids” thing. My grandson watches that too. He says it is for children. I guess it is. They talk about cars for children. Another channel, I think it is called ESPN3 or something. It is for streaming, whatever that means.

This whole F1 qualifying channel business is just too much for me. I just wanna know when them cars are gonna be on the TV! Why does it have to be so complicated? Back in my day, you turned on the TV, and there it was. No fuss, no muss.
I remember one time, it rained real hard on a Saturday. And they moved the whole F1 qualifying thing to Sunday. Sunday morning, no less! Who wants to watch cars going around in circles on a Sunday morning? Sunday’s supposed to be for resting! They changed the race time, too. It is really hard to follow.
One thing’s for sure, though. Them cars go fast. Real fast! I like to watch them when they go fast and the drivers try to pass each other. That is exciting. But figuring out what channel is F1 qualifying on? That’s a race I ain’t winning anytime soon. This old lady is just gonna have to keep asking her grandson, I guess. Or maybe I’ll just stick to watching my soaps. They’re always on the same channel, at the same time. Thank goodness for small favors!
These days, they have many different races. There are many different drivers, too. That Hamilton guy, he is good. He is moving to another team soon. I do not understand why he needs to move. But it is his life.
I think it is better to just watch the race on Sunday. It is much easier. You do not need to worry about the F1 qualifying.
Well, I think I said all I can say about this F1 qualifying channel mess. I hope it was clear. I do not know much about these things. But I tried my best.
