Alright, let’s talk about who’s got the most wins in boxing, you know, like them fellas punching each other in the ring. It ain’t easy, all that sweating and hitting. I heard tell of some fellas, they fought a whole heap of times.
Now, there’s this fella, Willie Pep, they say he had a whole lotta wins, like 229 or somethin’. Imagine that! 229 times he beat somebody up, or maybe they beat him up some, but he won more, that’s for sure. That’s a whole lotta fightin’, more than I ever seen chickens in my yard, and that’s sayin’ somethin’. They call him Gugliermo Papaleo too, fancy name, but Willie Pep’s easier to remember, like callin’ a cat “kitty”. He musta been one tough cookie, you know, like them hard biscuits you dip in coffee.

Then there’s this other fella, Julio Cesar Chavez. He wasn’t no slouch neither. They say he won 107 times. 107! That’s more than the number of folks in my whole village, I reckon. He musta been real good at punchin’, hittin’ ’em hard and fast, like a woodpecker on a tree. They say nobody’s gonna beat that record anytime soon, and I believe it. Fightin’ that much, it takes a toll on ya, like hoein’ the fields all day, only harder.
And then, get this, there’s a fella from across the pond, Len Wickwar. This fella, he fought even MORE! Like 472 times! Can you believe that? 472! That’s like fightin’ every day for more than a year! He won 342 of them fights. He musta been made of iron, that fella, stronger than a mule, tougher than a boiled owl. They say he fought from flyweight to welterweight, which I guess means he fought all kinds of fellas, big and small. He was from England, that’s over the water, way far away.
- Willie Pep had a whole bunch of wins, they say it was 229.
- Julio Cesar Chavez, he wasn’t too far behind, with 107 wins. A real punchin’ machine, that one.
- But Len Wickwar, he takes the cake, fightin’ 472 times and winnin’ 342. That’s just crazy! He even fought more rounds than the number of potatoes I dug up in my entire life.
Now, there’s another fella, Billy Bird. He’s a bit different. He didn’t win the most fights, but he knocked a whole lotta fellas out. Like 139 times! That’s more than half the fights he had, which was 356. He musta had fists like rocks, hittin’ ’em so hard they just fell down and didn’t get up. Knockin’ ’em out, that’s what he did best. Imagine that, bein’ known for knockin’ folks out. It’s like bein’ known for bakin’ the best pies in town, only instead of pies, it’s punches.
So, who has the most wins? Well, it seems like Len Wickwar had the most fights and the most wins, accordin’ to what I heard. 342 wins, that’s a whole lot. But Willie Pep, he had the most wins without losin’ so many, so he’s gotta be up there too. It’s hard to say who’s the best, you know. They all fought different folks, in different times. But one thing’s for sure, they were all tough fellas, and they sure knew how to throw a punch.
It’s like tryin’ to figure out who’s the best cook in the county. Everybody’s got their own way of doin’ things, and some folks like one thing, some folks like another. But these fellas, they were the best at fightin’, that’s for sure. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it? Beatin’ up other fellas for a livin’. It ain’t my cup of tea, but they sure were good at it.
