Alright, so you wanna know who the oldest wide receiver in the NFL is, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t no spring chicken, that’s for sure. These fellas, they run and jump and catch that ball, gotta be tough on the body. So, findin’ an old one amongst ’em is somethin’ special.
Now, I heard tell there’s this fella, Marvin Jones Jr. They say he’s the oldest wide receiver, pure and simple. He’s somethin’ like 33, 34 years old, maybe even a bit more now. That’s a lot of years for runnin’ around like a crazy chicken, I tell ya. Thirty-three years old! My grandson ain’t even that old yet! And this fella’s still out there catchin’ footballs. Imagine that!

They say this Jones fella, he got drafted way back when, like in 2012. That’s a long time ago, if you ask me. Most of them youngins, they play a few years and then they’re done. But not this Jones, he keeps on goin’. He’s tougher than an old boot, I reckon. And they say he’s been playin’ longer than all them other fellas from when he started out. Outlasted every last one of ’em, they say. He must be doin’ somethin’ right, huh?
- He’s older than all the other receivers on his team, by a lot.
- Heard he’s been playin’ longer than most, tough as nails.
- Keeps goin’ when others have already quit.
Now, some folks might say, “Oh, there’s this other fella, Matthew Slater, he’s older.” But lemme tell ya, Slater, he’s a special teams kinda guy. He catches a pass once in a blue moon, but mostly he’s just runnin’ around doin’ other stuff. So, he don’t really count as a wide receiver, not in my book. We’re talkin’ about the fellas who catch the ball all the time, you know, the real deal. And that’s this Jones fella.
They talk about Tom Brady bein’ old, playin’ till he’s like 45. That’s somethin’, alright. But he’s a quarterback, different story. Throwin’ the ball ain’t the same as runnin’ and catchin’ it. Way I see it, runnin’ and catchin’ is harder on the body, so findin’ a wide receiver as old as this Jones, well, that’s somethin’ special. He’s like the Tom Brady of wide receivers, but younger, of course, and still playin’. I hear tell Jerry Rice was real good too, played for a long time. But even he had to quit sometime, everybody does. This Jones fella, he just keeps on goin’.
Now, I don’t know all the ins and outs of this football stuff. But I know what I see. And I see a fella who’s been playin’ a long time, longer than most. And they tell me he’s the oldest one out there catchin’ them balls. So, if you ask me who the oldest wide receiver in the NFL is, I’d say it’s this Marvin Jones Jr. fella. He’s tough, he’s still goin’, and he’s older than the hills… well, maybe not that old, but old for a football player!
You know, they say the average age for these receivers is somethin’ like 24 to 28 years old. So this Jones fella, he’s way past that. He’s like an old dog who still knows all the tricks, maybe even some new ones. And that’s sayin’ something, let me tell you! It’s impressive, that’s what it is. Makes you wonder how he does it, all that runnin’ and jumpin’ at his age.
But that’s the thing about these athletes, they’re different. They got somethin’ special, somethin’ that keeps ’em goin’. And this Jones fella, he’s got it in spades. He’s the oldest wide receiver in the NFL, and that’s a fact. You can look it up if you don’t believe me. But I’m tellin’ you, he’s the one, the oldest of the bunch. Thirty-something and still catchin’ footballs, bless his heart!
