Well, I gotta tell ya, Sun Devil Stadium is quite the place if you’re lookin’ to catch a good football game or any other kind of event, for that matter. It’s sittin’ right there in Tempe, Arizona, and lemme tell ya, it’s been around a long time—opened back in 1958! That’s a whole lotta history! But the big thing folks want to know is, “Where do I sit?” Don’t you worry, I’ll walk you through it.
The stadium, it’s a good-sized place, holdin’ 53,599 folks these days. Used to hold more back in the day—about 74,865, but they’ve made some changes. Now, it’s all about comfort, I reckon. If you’re goin’ to a game or somethin’, you’ll wanna make sure you get yourself in the right spot, especially with all them different sections and seating charts they’ve got to offer.

Now, when you look at the seating chart for Sun Devil Stadium, you got to know what section you’re aiming for. There’s all kinds of places to sit, and not all of ’em are the same. You got your regular seats, of course, but there’s also special seats like them club seats. Those are real nice for folks who wanna sit back and enjoy the game without havin’ to worry about the little things. They usually come with some extra perks, but you might have to fork out a bit more money for ‘em.
Student Section – The Inferno
If you’re lookin’ for some excitement, you better make sure you sit in the student section. They call it “The Inferno” down in the lower bowl, right there in the south end zone. Them students, they get loud, real loud. I tell ya, if you want to feel the energy of the game, that’s the place to be!
100 Level Seats
The south end zone’s 100 level seats—they got these fancy chairbacks, and I gotta tell ya, they’re pretty darn comfy. No cup holders, but who needs ‘em when you’re all comfy and watchin’ the game? Plus, these seats are covered, so if it’s a sunny day or rainin’ a little, you don’t have to worry about gettin’ too wet or burnt by the sun. Now, that’s somethin’ you’ll appreciate!
Important Things to Know

- When you head to the stadium, make sure you’re followin’ the rules for bags. They’ll only let you bring in clear bags that are no bigger than 12” x 6” x 12”. That’s the size of a small lunchbox, so keep that in mind.
- If you got a small bag, like a plastic one for your snacks, make sure it’s clear and no bigger than 4.5” x 6.5”. You don’t wanna get caught with a bag they won’t let you bring in!
- Now, as far as comfort goes, if you’ve got a seat cushion or a cushion with a back, you’re good, just make sure it don’t have no pockets in it. That’s another rule they’ve got.
All these details come in handy, ‘cause you don’t wanna show up unprepared. When you know where you’re sittin’ and what to expect, you’ll be able to enjoy the game a lot more. Whether you’re rootin’ for the Arizona State Sun Devils or just there for a concert, Sun Devil Stadium has got a little somethin’ for everyone.
So, take a look at that seating chart next time you’re headin’ there, and figure out where you wanna sit. Trust me, you’ll enjoy it a whole lot more when you know what you’re gettin’ into! And don’t forget to stay hydrated, ’cause it can get real hot out there in Arizona!
