I wanted to watch the latest WWE PPV, but I was running late. It was already halfway through, and I really didn’t want to miss the beginning. I remembered that I have Peacock now, not the old WWE Network, and I was hoping I could just restart the live event.
So, first, I grabbed my remote and fired up the Peacock app on my Roku. I found the live WWE event and selected it. Hmm, no obvious button to restart. I tried pressing a few different buttons, but no luck.

Trying Different Devices
Since my Roku didn’t seem to have the restart option, I decided to try my iPad. I opened up the Peacock app there, found the live event, and YES! There was an option to rewind! I could go all the way back to the beginning, and It worked!
I was so relieved. I really don’t want to miss a single match. It turns out that if you’re watching on a tvOS or iOS device, you can actually rewind or restart a live event. That’s a big relief for fans like me who don’t always catch things right when they start.
What I Learned
- Roku App: Seems like you can’t restart a live event from the beginning while it’s still airing. You might have to wait until it’s over and uploaded as a replay.
- iPad/iPhone (iOS) and Apple TV (tvOS) Apps: These let you rewind and start from the beginning even during a live broadcast.
- Future Updates: I read somewhere that Peacock is working on adding the restart feature to other devices, but there’s no specific timeline yet.
In the end, I got to watch the whole PPV from the start thanks to my iPad. It would be great if Peacock could add this feature to all devices, but for now, at least I know I can rely on my iPad or Apple TV to catch up on live events. And I remember that WWE has a deal with peacock through 2026. This is so exciting, right?
