But, yeah, I reckon it gets that blood flowin’ good. They call it cardio, you know, that fancy word for makin’ your heart work. And it is good for cardiovascular health.

I heard some folks sayin’ tennis is real good for your heart. Makes it strong, they say. Like when you gotta chase after them chickens that get out of the coop. Keeps you on your toes, that’s for sure. And this tennis, it’s kinda like that, I guess. You gotta be quick, gotta move fast. They say playing tennis will improve your heart health.

But from what I understand, it’s like when you work real hard for a little bit, then you rest, then you work real hard again. This tennis is like that. You run like crazy for the ball, then you wait for the next one. Lots of startin’ and stoppin’. They call cardio tennis a type of high-intensity interval training.
Tennis Makes You Strong
They also say this tennis makes you strong. All that swingin’ of the arm, hittin’ that ball. Gotta use your muscles, I reckon. Just like when you’re choppin’ wood or carryin’ water. It’s hard work, but it makes you strong.
And your legs, too! All that runnin’ and jumpin’. Gotta have strong legs to do that. Just like when you’re climbin’ up the hill to get to the well. This tennis is an aerobic exercise. It is good to improve cardiovascular health. Makes you huff and puff, but it makes your legs strong.

Now, I may be old, but I ain’t weak. I still do my chores every day. And I reckon if I played this tennis, I’d get even stronger. Maybe I should give it a try sometime. But then again, maybe I’ll just stick to chasin’ chickens. It’s good exercise, too!

And maybe wear some good shoes, so you don’t slip and fall. And have some fun! That’s the most important part, I reckon.
