Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout that Randy Moss fella. They was wonderin’ if he’s in that NFL Hall of Fame. Now, I ain’t no expert on these things, but I do hear things around, ya know? Seems like that Randy Moss, he was somethin’ else on that football field. They say he was fast, real fast, like a rabbit runnin’ from a fox!
Randy Moss, a Big Name
That name, Randy Moss, it rings a bell. He played for a bunch of teams, that’s for sure. I heard he was with them Minnesota Vikings for a good while. That was years back. Then he went to them Oakland Raiders and then to the New England Patriots. He sure did move around like a tumbleweed in the wind!

Was He Good?
Oh, they say he was more than good. He was one of the best, runnin’ and catchin’ that ball. Folks say he was drafted in the first round, 21st, whatever that means. Must be a big deal. They say he could run faster than anyone, jump higher too. Made him a real threat on that field. Like a hawk swoopin’ down on a field mouse. That’s what they say.
- He played for 14 seasons! That’s a long time.
- They said he was special.
- He has five kids.
- He got married to a lady named Lydia.
Hall of Fame, You Say?
Now, ’bout that Hall of Fame. Yeah, I heard he got in there. It was in 2018, I believe. That’s a big honor, ain’t it? Means you’re one of the best to ever play the game. Like bein’ the best pie baker at the county fair, only for football. He must have been really somethin’ to get in there.
Randy Moss in the Hall of Fame. Yep, it’s true. That boy made it, all right. They say he was 47 years old when they put him in there. Seems like yesterday he was just a young buck runnin’ around.
He retired a while ago. Quit playing. Said it was time to hang up his boots. He was 34. Younger than me, that’s for sure. But I ain’t no football player. He had offers, they say. Could have kept playing, but he said no. Wanted to spend time with his family, I reckon.
I heard something about him having some trouble with his health, too. Something about cancer. Poor fella. They said it was outside of his bile duct. Between his pancreas and liver. That sounds awful. Had to have a big surgery. Six hours, they said. I hope he’s doin’ alright now.
He was on that Sunday NFL Countdown, talking about football. You know, on the TV. He’s still around, just not playing anymore. That’s what I heard.

They don’t make ’em like Randy Moss anymore. He was a real firecracker on that field. A sight to see, they say. One of the best wide receivers to ever play the game. That’s a big deal, even for an old lady like me who don’t know much ’bout football. Is Randy Moss in the NFL Hall of Fame? You bet your bottom dollar he is!
He was special. He was like a, a, a shooting star, that’s it! A shooting star across that football field. Shining bright and gone too soon. But he made his mark, that Randy Moss. Made his mark and got himself into that NFL Hall of Fame. Good for him, I say. Good for him.
