Alright, so I was digging around the internet, trying to figure something out. You know how it is, one minute you’re looking up a recipe, and the next you’re down a rabbit hole about some obscure celebrity’s career. Today’s rabbit hole? Whether Jim Cornette is in the WWE Hall of Fame.
First, I started by just typing “is Jim Cornette in the WWE Hall of Fame” into my search bar. The first few results were a bunch of wrestling news sites talking about it. Seems like it’s a bit of a hot topic, this Cornette guy. Apparently, he’s a big deal in the wrestling world, but things are a bit messy with him and the WWE.

So, I dug a little deeper. I found this article on a site called “Something To Wrestle With”. It mentioned that despite Cornette’s long career and influence, he’s not in the Hall of Fame. Then, I found another tidbit from a site saying that someone high up in WWE wants him in, even though they’ve had a rough patch. Intriguing, right? Even Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, who’s already in the Hall of Fame since 2014, thinks Cornette should be in there. That’s a pretty big endorsement.
Then I started looking into the Hall of Fame itself. It’s got 245 total inductees as of 2024, a mix of wrestlers, groups, celebrities, and these “Warrior Award” recipients. There are 131 wrestlers inducted individually, 46 Legacy inductees, 19 group inductions, 14 celebrities, and 9 Warrior Award recipients.
I even stumbled upon some info about this year’s inductees – Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, and a few others. They even inducted Muhammad Ali! And get this, Vince McMahon, who’s a big name in WWE, once inducted Donald Trump. Talk about a mixed bag.
After all that searching, here’s what I figured out:
- Jim Cornette is NOT in the WWE Hall of Fame currently.
- He’s a big deal in wrestling, but his relationship with WWE is complicated.
- Some important folks think he should be inducted.
- The Hall of Fame has a whole bunch of people from different areas, not just wrestlers.
So, yeah, that was my little internet adventure for the day. It’s always interesting to see what you find when you start pulling at a thread. You never know where you’ll end up!
