Alright, so the other day I was trying to figure out how to skip some games in NBA 2K24. I mean, I love the game, but playing through an entire season, game by game? That’s a lot, you know? I just wanted to get to the good stuff, like the playoffs.
First, I jumped into MyCareer mode, played a few games, and honestly, it was taking forever. I was like, “There’s gotta be a faster way.” I started poking around in the menus, but I couldn’t find anything obvious. It was frustrating!
So, I did what any normal person would do – I hit up the internet. I found some forum posts and people were talking about playing key games. I also saw some stuff about getting fouled out, but that didn’t sound very fun. Then I saw something about just being able to skip games after the rookie season.
But then, I saw this thing about “key games.” Apparently, you only have to play certain important games. I went back into the game, and I noticed on the schedule, some games were marked as “key.” I played a couple of those, and then I realized it was only key games that mattered. I kept going forward and there is a button to sim to the next key games.
I pressed the button and it asked me whether I want to sim to the next key games, and I confirmed, then it worked! I simmed through a bunch of regular season games and jumped straight to another key game. It was awesome!
So, yeah, it turns out you don’t have to play every single game in NBA 2K24. Just focus on those key games. It makes the whole MyCareer experience way more manageable. It’s a total game-changer, trust me. I got to the playoffs in no time! And I finally got my player to improve without wasting too much time!
