Alright, let’s talk about how I got into F1. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it. First off, I started watching races. I mean, really watching them, not just having them on in the background.
I started by watching the F1 YouTube channel and it helped me a lot to understand what’s going on. Then, I found some other channels, like “The Race,” which were super helpful. That’s how I got my feet wet with the sport.

Get the Education
Then, I got serious about the whole thing. I realized if I wanted to work in F1, watching races wasn’t enough. I had to study. I decided to get into a STEM major because, let’s be real, these guys need people who know their stuff. I went ahead and did a Master’s in a STEM field. It was tough, but I knew it was necessary. Most of these Strategy Engineer jobs ask for a Master’s or even a Ph.D. So, I powered through. And I think it ensured that I have the skills they’re looking for.
Hands-On Experience
But it wasn’t just about the books. I also needed to get my hands dirty, I went to a racing school, took a class there to learn how to drive. I mean, you can’t just jump into F1 without knowing how a car works, right? I got an internship with one of the teams. It was unpaid at first, but hey, you gotta start somewhere. I did everything they asked me to, even the boring stuff. Gradually, I started getting more responsibilities. I was involved in data analysis, race simulations, and even some strategy discussions.
Getting into F1 is tough. But if you work hard, it’s doable. I watched, studied, got the right degree, interned, and kept learning. It was a long road, but I made it. And if I can do it, so can you.
