Okay, so I got really curious about how they make tennis racquets. I mean, we all use them, but have you ever thought about what goes into making one?
First, I did some digging online – you know, the usual searching around. I found some stuff, but I wanted to see it for myself. So, I grabbed an old, cracked racquet I had lying around. Time for some hands-on learning!

The Breakdown
I started by carefully, cutting away the strings. I used some pliers and wire cutters, just snipping them off. Then, I peeled off the grip tape. It was kinda gross and sticky, but satisfying to remove.
With the grip gone, I could see the handle. It was this molded, foam-like stuff. It looked like it had been shaped around a core. I tried bending the racquet frame (it was already broken, so no big deal), and I could feel how stiff it was. I wanted to see the inside, but I could not get deep inside.
Then I inspect the frame shape, I noticed it is not just a simple * has a special shape, so that it could bear lots of power.
After taking a close look at the details, I realized that making a tennis racquet is way more complicated than I initially thought. But now I really got the basic constructure of a tennis racquet.
