Can ya believe that?
Now, it ain’t just the fight itself that matters. It’s who’s fightin’, how famous they are. If it’s one of them big names, like that fella, what’s his name, Mayweather, or that big fella, Tyson Fury, you bet the ref’s gonna get paid good. People pay lots of money to watch them boys fight, so the ref gets a piece of that pie too.
But don’t go thinkin’ it’s easy money. Those refs, they gotta train, they gotta know the rules, gotta be in good shape. They gotta be quick, gotta be sharp, gotta see everything that’s happenin’ in that ring. And they gotta make decisions fast, decisions that can change the whole fight. That’s a lot of pressure, I tell ya.
