Alright, so I was kinda curious the other day about how many players from UConn have made it to the NBA. You know, just one of those random thoughts that pop into your head. So, I decided to do a little digging and see what I could find out. It wasn’t super important or anything, but I figured, why not? Let’s do this!
First, I fired up my trusty laptop and headed straight to the search engine. I typed in “how many UConn players are in the NBA” and hit enter. Boom! Tons of results popped up. I started clicking through a few of the top ones to get a general idea. I saw some names I recognized, and some I didn’t.
After getting a rough estimate, I wanted to go a bit deeper. So I went over to the official NBA website. I figured that would be the most reliable source, right? I found their list of players and started looking for anyone who played for UConn. It was a bit of a manual process, going through each team’s roster, but I didn’t mind. It was actually kind of fun, like a little scavenger hunt. It was better to use official website, wasn’t it?
Then I thought, “Hey, maybe UConn’s own website has something on this.” So I jumped over there and poked around their athletics section. Sure enough, they had a list of former players who were currently in the NBA. I was very happy to see that. Bingo! I compared it to what I found on the NBA site, just to make sure I wasn’t missing anyone or had any extra names.
Once I felt pretty confident with my list, I decided to organize it a bit. I just jotted down the players’ names and the teams they were playing for in a simple note on my phone. Nothing fancy, just wanted to have it all in one place. It took me an hour. Not that difficult, right? Oh, I also checked out a couple of sports news sites, just to see if there were any recent updates or maybe a player I had overlooked.
So, after all that digging, what did I find? Well, it turns out there are quite a few UConn players in the NBA right now! I was actually a bit surprised by the number. It’s pretty cool to see how many guys from one college have made it to the big leagues. I don’t want to say much more now, since I will tell you details in next article.
