Okay, so the other day, I was watching a tennis match and got into this whole debate with my friend about how big the court actually is. We were talking about it in feet, ’cause, you know, ‘Murica. I thought I knew, but then I started second-guessing myself. So, I decided to do a little digging and settle it once and for all.
Step 1: The Obvious – Google It!
First things first, I grabbed my phone and Googled “tennis court size in feet.” I mean, that’s the go-to move for any quick question, right? I figured I’d find a straightforward answer in like two seconds.

Step 2: Reading the Results
I found some * said that the length of court is * I also found width for singles and doubles.
Step 3: Getting the Full Picture
Okay, so now I had the basic dimensions, but I wanted the whole shebang. I started picturing the court in my head and all the different lines.
- Length: This one was easy, it’s always 78 feet, no matter what.
- Width (Singles): This is the smaller one, for one-on-one matches. It’s 27 feet wide.
- Width (Doubles): When you’ve got two players on each side, they need more room, so the court gets wider, to 36 * sense, right?
Step 4:Putting my record
I felt like this still did not get the full image,so I wrote down all that I searched.
So, there you have it! That’s how I figured out the size of a tennis court in * wasn’t rocket science, but now I can confidently say I know my tennis court dimensions. And more importantly, I won the debate with my friend.
