Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about these two fellas, Ezekiel Elliott and Derrick Henry. Folks keep arguin’ about who’s better, so let’s just hash it out, simple-like.
Now, Derrick Henry, that boy’s a big ‘un, like a bull in a china shop. I seen him run, and it’s somethin’ else. He just plows through folks, ain’t nobody stoppin’ him. They say he’s one of the best power runners ever, and I reckon they ain’t lyin’. When you need a yard or two, he’s your man. He’s strong as an ox, and that stiff arm of his? Lord have mercy, it’ll knock you into next week. He might not be fancy, but he gets the job done, that’s for sure.

Ezekiel Elliott, well, he used to be somethin’ special too. Back in the day, he was the man for the Cowboys. Runnin’ all over the place, makin’ them defenders look silly. He was young and fast, and he could carry that ball a whole heap of times. But, see, time catches up to everyone. Lately, he ain’t been lookin’ so hot. His runs ain’t as powerful, and he ain’t breakin’ away like he used to. They say his yards per carry is way down, and that ain’t good, no sir. It’s like he’s runnin’ in mud or somethin’.
I remember when Elliott first came in, he was somethin’ fierce. Led the league in runnin’ yards a couple of times. But every year, it seems like he got a little bit worse. Less yards, less touchdowns. Folks say he had a real sharp decline a few years back, and he ain’t never really bounced back. He’s still playin’, but he ain’t the same Zeke he used to be, that’s for sure.
- Derrick Henry is like a truck, just runs over ya.
- Ezekiel Elliott used to be real good, but he’s slowed down.
- Henry’s good for those short yards, when ya gotta get that first down.
Now, some folks like that fancy footwork and speed, but me? I like a fella who can just push that pile and get them tough yards. That’s why I lean towards Henry, I guess. He’s consistent, you know? You know what you’re gonna get with him. He’s gonna run hard, and he’s gonna get them yards, even if it ain’t pretty.
Folks are always arguin’ about who to start in their fantasy games, Elliott or Henry. Well, I ain’t no expert on that fantasy stuff, but I tell ya what, if I need a yard, I’m pickin’ Henry every time. They got all sorts of numbers and stats, but sometimes you just gotta use your eyes. And my eyes tell me Henry’s still got it, even if he’s gettin’ a little older too.
They got websites and all that where you can compare these fellas, look at their stats side by side. But stats ain’t everything, I tell ya. You gotta watch ‘em play. You gotta see who’s got that fire in their belly, who wants it more. And right now, it looks like Henry’s still got that fire burnin’ brighter.
So, who’s better? Well, it depends on what you’re lookin’ for. If you want that power, that brute force, that guarantee of a few hard-earned yards, then Henry’s your man. If you’re hopin’ for a flash of that old Elliott magic, well, you might be disappointed. He ain’t the same player he used to be. Time marches on, and it marches on for football players too. That’s just the way it is.

Anyways, that’s just my two cents. You fellas can argue all you want, but I’ve said my piece.
