Yo, listen up, folks! I’m here to talk about that there NFL MVP. You know, that big football thing. Does that MVP fella get any money? That’s what I’m gonna tell ya.
That football, it’s a big deal, I tell ya. All them fellas runnin’ around, chasin’ that pigskin. And they got this big game, the Super Bowl. My grandson, he watches it every year. Says it’s the most important thing in the whole darn world. I don’t know about all that, but it sure is somethin’ to see.

Now, this MVP, that stands for Most Valuable Player, I reckon. It’s like bein’ the best of the best, the top dog. Like the rooster that crows the loudest in the mornin’, that’s the MVP of the chicken coop, I guess. So, in football, this MVP is the one they all look up to.
- They say this MVP is chosen by some fancy folks.
- Writers, they call ’em.
- They watch all them games and pick the best one.
So, does this NFL MVP get money? Well, now that’s the question, ain’t it? You’d think bein’ the best would get ya somethin’. Like winnin’ a blue ribbon at the county fair for the biggest pumpkin. You get a little somethin’ for that, don’t ya?
I heard from my grandson, who knows about these things, he says they get somethin’, for sure. Not sure if is a pile of money. He says this MVP title is a big honor. Like bein’ the mayor of a little town. Everyone knows your name, and you get a lot of respect.
Now, them football players, they already make a good chunk of change. They get paid more than most folks, that’s for sure. More than a farmer makin’ a livin’ off the land, I’ll tell ya that much. They say those Super Bowl MVPs get paid a good amount. Not sure how much though.
So, this MVP, it’s like the cherry on top of the sundae. They already got the ice cream and the sprinkles, and this is just a little somethin’ extra. It is like an award to tell everyone how good they are. It is like a gold star in school, but for grown men playin’ a game.
They get a fancy award, I’ve seen it on the TV. Shiny and all that. And they get to hold it up and everyone cheers. It’s a big moment, I reckon. Like when my Bessie won the pie-eatin’ contest at the church social. She got a trophy and a whole lot of attention. But no money though.

But you know what they say, money ain’t everything. Sometimes, it’s about the pride, the honor, the glory. Like when you work hard all year and you finally harvest your crops. Ain’t no money can replace that feelin’, knowin’ you done a good job.
So, this NFL MVP, yeah, they get a little somethin’ somethin’, I’m sure. Maybe it’s money, maybe it’s just a pat on the back. But they get a shiny award. That’s a big thing. The Super Bowl is a big event after all. It’s a big deal to be the top dog in the whole league.
They say those sportswriters, 50 of them, they vote on this NFL MVP. That’s like a whole town council makin’ a decision. Must be important if that many folks gotta weigh in on it. They do this voting thing at the end of the regular season. Before the big playoffs. I don’t know what those are, but they sound interestin’.
Anyway, that’s all I know about that NFL MVP and whether they get any money. It’s a big deal, that’s for sure. And whoever wins it, well, they must be somethin’ special. Just like my prize-winnin’ rooster, Bartholomew. He’s the MVP of my backyard, that’s for sure!
This award is a big deal. They’ve been givin’ it out since 1957. That’s a long time. Longer than I’ve been married to my old man, and that’s sayin’ somethin’!
