Ah, ya see, this young fella, Micah Parsons, he done made himself quite a name with them Cowboys, right? Now, I ain’t one for them fancy football numbers, but let me tell ya, folks talkin’ ‘bout how he’s gonna get a big ol’ payday soon. But it ain’t happenin’ just yet. Naw, this boy’s gotta wait a bit longer ‘fore that money comes rollin’ in. They say he’s waitin’ on some moves by the Jaguars, can ya believe that? Seems like everybody gotta wait for somethin’ nowadays.
Now, lemme tell ya, this Micah, he’s somethin’ special. Them Cowboys, they picked him back in 2021, gave him a good bit of cash too—somethin’ like $17 million for four years, that’s what I heard. Ain’t bad for a young’un like him. But, ya know, in football, they always after more, and this boy, he’s worth it, folks say. They say he’s gonna get one of them big ol’ record-breakin’ deals, but the Cowboys, well, they ain’t ready just yet to sign them papers. Nope, not yet.
So what’s all this about the Jaguars then? Well, some folks reckon they made some kinda move that’s got somethin’ to do with how much ol’ Micah might get paid. Now, I ain’t exactly sure what the Jaguars done did, but from what the folks say, it’s gonna help the Cowboys figure out how to pay this boy what he’s worth. They say he’s worth every penny, I believe ‘em, ‘cause they always talkin’ ‘bout how good he is on that field, runnin’ around like one of them farm dogs herdin’ sheep.
They say the Cowboys gonna break the bank to keep him. But, ya know, with them Cowboys, it ain’t just Micah they gotta think ‘bout. They got that Dak Prescott fella and that CeeDee Lamb too, and they both got themselves some big ol’ deals not too long ago. So, I reckon, Cowboys need to figure out how they gonna fit all them numbers together. But folks reckon Micah’s worth it—says he’s one of them “All-Pro linebackers,” whatever that means, sound important though.
They say he’s got two more years on his deal, but folks already talkin’ ‘bout how he’s gonna get the biggest payday ever. Ain’t happenin’ right now though, ‘cause the boy himself said, “The contract, it’ll take care of itself.” Well, that sounds like he ain’t too worried ‘bout it, and I reckon that’s good ‘cause sometimes worryin’ don’t do no good. Just gotta wait like he said. 2025—that’s when they think he’s gonna get his big money.
Now, they say this boy’s already sittin’ on a $21.3 million fifth-year option in 2025. That’s a lotta money where I come from. Cowboys already got him locked in for that, but folks say when he gets his new deal, oh boy, it’s gonna be even bigger. Some reckon he could make more than anybody else in the league. That ol’ Jerry Jones, owner of them Cowboys, he gonna have to dig deep in them pockets if he wants to keep Micah on the team. But, if ya ask me, sounds like it’s worth it.
So, what we lookin’ at? Well, the Jaguars done somethin’, and folks think it’s gonna set the stage for Micah’s payday. Cowboys gotta wait till the offseason to make it happen. Ain’t no rush, they say, ‘cause the boy’s already sittin’ pretty with what he’s got. But come 2025, he’s gonna be rollin’ in dough, that’s for sure.
Ya see, life’s all ‘bout waitin’ sometimes. Micah knows it, Cowboys know it, and now we just gotta sit tight and watch. When that payday comes, it’s gonna be somethin’ to see, I tell ya.
