Alright, let’s talk about them NFL hats, you know, the ones them fellas wear on the TV. Lots of colors, I tell ya, lots of colors. So, what are the colors on the NFL hats? Well, it ain’t just one color, that’s for sure.
First off, you got the team colors. Every team, they got their own colors. Like, the Green Bay Packers, they got that green and yellow. Looks like a mustard stain on a frog, if you ask me, but folks love it. Then you got the Dallas Cowboys, blue and silver, kinda shiny. Reminds me of that aluminum foil I use to wrap up leftovers. And the Pittsburgh Steelers, black and yellow, like a big ol’ bumblebee. Them colors, they mean somethin’ to the fans, you know. It’s like, “Hey, I’m with them guys!”

But it ain’t just the team colors, no sirree. You got other colors too. Sometimes you see them hats with pink on ‘em. That’s for breast cancer awareness, they say. It’s a good thing, you know, remindin’ folks to get checked. My niece, she had that scare, but she’s alright now, thank the Lord. Then there’s the hats with camouflage, all green and brown and stuff. That’s for the military, to show respect for them soldiers. My grandson, he’s in the army, good boy he is. Makes me proud.
- Team Colors: Show your loyalty
- Pink: For breast cancer awareness
- Camouflage: To honor the military
And then, sometimes, you see them hats with all sorts of crazy colors, like a rainbow exploded on their heads. That’s usually for some special event, or a campaign, or somethin’. Like that “Crucial Catch” thing they do, with all the different colors mixed together. It’s supposed to represent all the different kinds of cancer, I think. Heard about it on the TV. It’s a lot to keep up with, all these colors.
Now, the hats themselves, they ain’t all the same neither. You got the fitted hats, the ones that fit tight on your head. My son-in-law, he likes them fitted hats. Says they look better. I don’t get it, looks tight to me. Then you got the adjustable ones, with the little strap in the back. That’s what I like, you can loosen it up if your head gets hot. And you got the beanies, for when it’s cold. Keep your ears warm, you know. Gotta keep them ears warm, especially when you get to be my age.
And let’s not forget about the logos. Every team’s got their own logo, big and bold, right there on the front of the hat. Them logos, they’re part of the colors too, I guess. Like the Chicago Bears, with that big ol’ “C”. Or the New England Patriots, with that… well, I don’t rightly know what it is, looks like a bird or somethin’. But folks recognize it, that’s the important thing. They see that logo, they know who you’re rootin’ for. It’s like wearin’ your heart on your head, instead of your sleeve.
NFL hat colors, they’re more than just colors, see? They tell a story. They tell you who a fella’s rootin’ for, what he cares about. They’re like a secret code, but everybody knows the code. It’s a way of belongin’, of bein’ part of somethin’ bigger than yourself. Like when you go to church, and everybody’s singin’ the same hymns. It’s that feelin’ of togetherness, you know? Only with more yellin’ and less prayin’.
So, next time you see someone wearin’ an NFL hat, take a good look at them colors. They might be tellin’ you more than you think. And don’t go wearin’ the wrong colors in the wrong town, you hear? Folks get real riled up about their football teams. You wouldn’t want to start a fuss, now would ya? Just stick to your own team, and wear them colors proud. That’s what I say. That’s the long and short of it, them hats and their colors, a whole lot more than just cloth and thread, I tell ya.
