Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout that there Michigan Ohio State football game. It was a real nail-biter, ya know? Folks was on the edge of their seats, I tell ya. The game, it was tight, real tight. Back and forth, like a swingin’ door in a windstorm. One minute Ohio State was up, then Michigan would come back. It was enough to make your head spin. There was this one time, Michigan, they got real close to scorin’, down at the Ohio State 14-yard line. But them Buckeyes, they held ’em off, at least for a bit.
Then there was this kicker, Dominic Zvada, for Michigan. That boy’s got nerves of steel, I tell ya. With just 45 seconds left on the clock, he kicks a field goal, a little 21-yarder. And wouldn’t ya know it, that was enough to win the whole dang game! Michigan beat Ohio State, 13 to 10. Can you believe it? Nobody thought they could do it, but they did. Stunned them Buckeyes, they did. Like a chicken gettin’ hit by a truck, they was.
- Ohio State, they was ranked number two, ya know. Big shots. But Michigan, they showed ’em who’s boss that day. It wasn’t easy, though. Them Buckeyes, they fought hard. They got a good receiver, Marvin Harrison Jr., scored a touchdown. But it wasn’t enough, not this time.
- And the quarterbacks, well, they had their ups and downs. Ohio State’s quarterback, he threw an interception. Michigan’s Makari Paige, he caught that ball, shut ’em down. That was a big play, a real game-changer.
- Then there was all that fightin’ after the game. Boys gettin’ all riled up, tempers flarin’. I don’t much care for that fightin’ stuff, but I guess that’s what happens when you got a big rivalry like this. Michigan tryin’ to plant their flag on Ohio State’s field, that’s what started it all, I reckon.
Now, this wasn’t the first time Michigan beat Ohio State lately. They done beat ’em the year before too, and the year before that! Three times in a row! That’s somethin’ ain’t it? Folks are callin’ it a streak, I guess. Michigan won 30 to 24 last time they played at Michigan stadium. But this one, this 13-10 win, this was special. Nobody saw it comin’. Michigan Wolverines pulled a fast one on them Buckeyes, they sure did.
And the end of the game, the stats, they tell ya a story. Ohio State, they couldn’t do nothin’ in the fourth quarter. Couldn’t hold onto the ball, couldn’t gain no yards. Michigan, they just shut ’em down. Outgained ’em 101 yards to 10. That’s a whoppin’, that’s what that is.
Now, they sayin’ next year, the game’s gonna be in Ohio again. November 30th, 2024, they say. Ohio State, they gonna be favored again, I bet. Big favorites, 19.5 points they sayin’. But I tell ya, after this game, you can’t count Michigan out. Them boys, they got somethin’ special. They got heart, they got grit. And they know how to win, even when nobody thinks they can. So next time they play, don’t go bettin’ your whole farm just yet, ya hear? Football games, they’re funny things. You never know what’s gonna happen ’til that clock runs out. And that’s the truth, I tell ya. That’s the darn truth.
