Well, I tell ya, Cameron Grimes, he’s outta WWE now. Just the other day, he up and posted on X – that’s what they call Twitter now – said he got the phone call from WWE themselves, tellin’ him he’s been released. Now, ain’t that somethin’? Folks been followin’ him, knowin’ he’s done good in the ring, and now they go cuttin’ him loose, just like that.
Ya know, this ain’t the first time WWE done let folks go all of a sudden neither. Here lately, a handful of other names – folks like Jinder Mahal, who used to be a big champion there, Xia Li, Veer, Sanga, and even Xyon Quinn – all of ’em out too. Just all at once, one after another, they was all told they was done. But Grimes now, well, he caught folks off guard. They didn’t think he’d be one to go. It’s a bit like tossin’ out your favorite tools, right when ya still need ’em.
People in the company, they was surprised too. That Grimes fella, he’s been puttin’ in work over in NXT, even got to be a North American Champion. Now, that ain’t nothin’ small, let me tell ya. But somehow, WWE just decided he didn’t fit what they was after no more, so off he went. Makes ya wonder, don’t it?
Seems like he’s takin’ it hard, though. Poor guy put out an emotional video on X, his eyes lookin’ all teary, tellin’ folks he’s out now. Ain’t no fancy words neither, just plain ol’ honest hurt. That’s what these releases do to a person, y’know? Breaks their heart, and it shows. Even strong wrestlers like him, they got feelings too.
- Grimes was beloved in NXT – he had his fans cheerin’ every time he’d hit the ring, yessiree. Folks thought he was on his way up.
- Surprise release: WWE might say they’re makin’ business decisions, but ya gotta ask, why let a fella go who’s got so much talent? Don’t seem right.
- More cuts followin’ – WWE done this before, lettin’ folks go in groups, but each time, it stirs folks up. Why some, why not others?
Now, I don’t claim to know much about what WWE’s thinkin’ over there. But one thing’s clear – Grimes ain’t just another fella who can fade into the background. Fans remember a guy like him, ‘specially after seein’ him get that North American Championship. But guess WWE figured they didn’t need his skills no more, and so here we are, wonderin’ just what their plans are without him.
Lookin’ to the Future
So now folks wonderin’ what’s next for Grimes. Is he gonna try another place? I reckon there’s other wrestlin’ companies who’d be glad to take a fella with his skills. Folks over at AEW, or maybe even Impact, they might have a spot open for someone like him. Talent like that don’t just dry up, no sir.
For now, Grimes is out of WWE, and folks, we’ll just have to see where he lands. But one thing’s for sure – the wrestlin’ world ain’t done with him, not by a long shot. People remember a name like Grimes, ‘cause he’s earned it in that ring. Here’s hopin’ he finds a good place to keep doin’ what he loves.
