Well, let me tell ya, things ain’t stayin’ the same, not even in that wrestlin’ world. You know, that WWE thing? Yeah, the one with all them muscle men and women flyin’ around. So, I heard tell, somethin’ big’s happenin’ to their TV show thingy, the “WWE Network,” they call it.

What Happened to the WWE Network? That’s what everyone’s askin’, like a bunch of hens clucking around the feed bucket. From what I gather, it’s like this: they’re shuttin’ it down, packin’ it up, sendin’ it off somewheres else.
See, this here WWE Network, it used to be its own thing. You paid ’em money, and you got to watch all the wrestlin’ you wanted, whenever you wanted. Old matches, new matches, all them fancy shows they put on. Then, they went and joined up with another fella, Peacock, they called him. Shared their wrestlin’ with Peacock’s viewers, I guess. But now, even that’s changin’.
Seems like they made a deal with another big shot, Netflix. You know, the one with all them movies and shows? Yep, that’s the one. So, starting next year, January first, 2025, to be exact, the WWE Network as we know it is gonna be gone. Poof! Just like that.
- No more stand-alone WWE Network.
- No more wrestlin’ on Peacock, at least not all of it.
- All that wrestlin’ stuff is movin’ over to Netflix.
Now, I ain’t too tech-savvy, you know. All this computin’ and internet stuff, it’s beyond me. But from what the young’uns are sayin’, it’s like movin’ from one house to another. They’re takin’ all their wrestlin’ shows, all them old matches, and puttin’ ’em on Netflix. So, if you wanna watch your wrestlin’, you gotta go to Netflix now.
They sent out letters, or emails, or whatever they call ’em, to all the folks who paid for the WWE Network. Told ’em, “Hey, we’re closin’ up shop here. Come on over to Netflix if you wanna keep watchin’.” And in some places, like across the big water, they’re even givin’ it away for free for the last month, just to be nice, I reckon.
Why are they doin’ this? Well, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? I heard some folks sayin’ it’s ’cause some of them places where they do the wrestlin’ ain’t set up for TV. Too small, not enough room for the cameras. Or maybe them places want too much money to let ’em film. Who knows? Them big business folks, they got their own reasons, I guess.

But the bottom line is, the WWE Network is changin’. It ain’t gonna be around no more. If you wanna watch your wrestlin’, you gotta find it on Netflix. And that’s the truth, as plain as the nose on your face. It’s like movin’ from the old dirt road to the paved highway. Things change, you know? You just gotta roll with the punches, or in this case, the body slams.
So, there you have it. That’s what happened to the WWE Network. It’s movin’ on, findin’ a new home. And us folks who like watchin’ them wrestlers, well, we gotta move with it. Just like we always do.
And one more thing, if you are in the U.S., things changed a bit back in 2021. That’s when another company, NBCUniversal, they got the rights to show the wrestlin’ on their own thing called Peacock. So, if you’re in the States, you might already be used to watchin’ it there.
But for everyone else, and for all that old wrestlin’ stuff, it’s Netflix from now on. Remember that, January first, 2025. That’s when the switcheroo happens.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. All this talk about wrestlin’ has made me hungry!
