Alright, so you wanna know ’bout them football stadiums with roofs, huh? Them fancy dome places? Well, let me tell ya, there’s a bunch of ’em. They say about a third of them NFL stadiums got some kinda roof, ya know, to keep the rain and snow off the players and the fancy folks in the good seats.
Now, I heard tell there’s about ten of these dome stadiums where them NFL teams play. Let’s see if I can remember them all. It ain’t easy, ya know, my memory ain’t what it used to be.

- First off, there’s that Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where them Raiders play. Heard it’s a real fancy place, all shiny and new.
- Then you got that ATT Stadium down in Dallas, where them Cowboys strut their stuff. Big place, that one, real big. Built way back in 2009, they say.
- And don’t forget the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, home of the Saints. That one’s been around for a while, since 1975 I think. Second dome ever in the NFL, they say.
- Up in Detroit, you got Ford Field, where the Lions roar… or meow, dependin’ on how they’re playin’.
- Then there’s Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where them Colts run around.
- Mercedes-Benz Superdome, like I said, that’s where the Saints play. Old one, but still standin’ strong.
- Heard tell there’s one in Arizona too, State Farm Stadium, where them Cardinals fly around. That one’s in Glendale, wherever that is.
Now, some of these domes, they got roofs that can open and close, like a fancy sunroof on a car. They call ’em retractable roofs, real high-tech stuff. I reckon about half of them domes got these fancy retractable roofs. Cowboys got one, Colts got one, and I think some others too. It’s hard to keep track of all these things.
They say NRG Stadium is another one, but I don’t rightly know if it’s a dome or not. Big place though, lots of seats and them fancy bars and lounges for the rich folks. They say it’s big enough for concerts and all sorts of things, not just football games. Can even move things around inside to make more space, they can. Something about 125,000 square feet of space they can use. That’s a lot of space, even for a cow pasture!
So, there you have it, a whole bunch of them NFL stadiums with roofs. Some are old, some are new, some open up, some don’t. It’s a lot to keep track of, but that’s what I know. They keep buildin’ these new stadiums all the time, so there might be more by the time you hear this. It’s always somethin’ with them fellas and their fancy football.
They say there are eleven total dome stadiums actually, and even more regular stadiums. They got these lists of stadiums, sorted by how many people they can hold and where they are. These football stadiums can hold a lot of people. I’ve never been to a football game in a stadium. I have been to a game once at the local High School. It was fun watching the boys play. But nothing like these fancy big-city stadiums.
And they build them stadiums all over. Everywhere really, there’s one near most major towns and I reckon there’s close to thirty stadiums! Some with roofs, and others without. These fellas sure like their football games, that’s for sure. And I reckon that’s just about it, what I know about them football stadiums with roofs.
