Alright, so you wanna know about this wrestling game, WWE 2K23, right? And whether you can play with your friends even if they got a different machine than you. Like, you got the Play-Station and they got the X-Box. Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t that simple.
I heard folks talkin’ about it, and from what I gather, this here game, WWE 2K23, it don’t let you do that “crossplay” thing. Yeah, that’s what they call it. Sounds fancy, but it just means playin’ together when you ain’t got the same box. Too bad, huh? You and your buddy down the road, he’s gotta have the same thingy-ma-jig as you, or you ain’t gonna be wrestlin’ each other.

It’s a darn shame, if you ask me. You’d think in this day and age, with all the fancy technology, they coulda figured that out. But nope. You got your Play-Station people, and they can only play with other Play-Station people. And the X-Box folks, they gotta stick with their own kind too. It’s like them little school kids, always separatin’ into their own little groups.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these video games. My grandkid, he’s the one who knows all about ‘em. But even I can see this is a bit silly. You pay good money for this game, you should be able to play with whoever you want, right? Don’t matter if they got a different box, long as they got the game, that should be enough.
- No crossplay: You can’t play with folks on different consoles. Play-Station sticks with Play-Station, X-Box sticks with X-Box.
- Same console only: Gotta have the same machine as your friend to play together.
- It’s a bummer: Lots of people wish it wasn’t this way.
I heard tell they got this other game, somethin’ about basketball, NBA 2K somethin’. And that one’s the same way. No crossplay there neither. Seems like these game makers, they just don’t wanna let us play nice together. Maybe they think it’s more fun this way, I don’t know. Makes no sense to me though.
And don’t even get me started on them different generations of consoles. You got your Play-Station 4 and your Play-Station 5, and your X-Box One and your X-Box Series Whatchamacallit. It’s enough to make your head spin. But at least there, they done somethin’ right. If you upgrade your box, like you go from Play-Station 4 to Play-Station 5, your stuff goes with you. That’s good, I guess. At least you ain’t gotta start all over again.
But still, no crossplay. That’s the real kicker. You’d think they’d want everyone to play together, more the merrier, right? Guess not. Maybe they’ll figure it out one of these days. Maybe in the next game, WWE 2K24, or somethin’. Or maybe even later, in NBA 2K25. But for now, you’re stuck playin’ with folks who got the same box as you. That’s just the way it is, I reckon.
So, there you have it. The lowdown on this here WWE 2K23 and its crossplay… or lack thereof. It ain’t what we’d hoped for, but it’s what we got. Maybe next time, they’ll do better. In the meantime, find yourself a friend with the same box as you, and get to wrestlin’!

And one more thing, don’t go thinkin’ you can play this game on your computer or that Nintendo thingy with your friends on Play-Station or X-Box. Ain’t gonna happen. They’re all separate, like different countries or somethin’. It’s a whole mess, if you ask me. But that’s the way these young folks like it, I guess. Always makin’ things complicated.
