People got to collectin’ ‘em, and before long, the price of some of them cards shot up like a rocket. Folks was willin’ to pay good money just to get their hands on a rare one. Now, them prices ain’t what they used to be, but there are still some cards in Series 3 that are worth a pretty bit. That’s why you got collectors still huntin’ them down to this day!
Now, let’s talk about them chase cards. These was the ones everyone wanted. They had these special designs that weren’t just like the regular cards. They was cut in fancy shapes or had shiny foil on ‘em that made ‘em stand out. I reckon that’s what made ’em so special. If you had one of them, you was sittin’ pretty. People would trade just about anything to get their hands on one. And lemme tell you, they wasn’t easy to come by!

Even young folks today who never seen a single episode of the old Pokemon cartoon are curious about ‘em. I reckon that’s ‘cause them cards got history.
