Well, let me tell you ’bout them Los Angeles Lakers, huh? Back in the 2014-15 season, them boys had a rough go of it. Didn’t do so hot, they ended up with a record of 21 wins and 61 losses. That’s right, not so good, huh? But, they still had some names you might recognize. Lemme run through the whole bunch for ya, and tell you a bit about ’em. Hold tight now!
First off, them big ol’ names!

Well, of course, you gotta talk about Kobe Bryant. That man, he’s a legend, no doubt. But even ol’ Kobe couldn’t pull ‘em up that season, he was fightin’ injuries, still tried his best though. He’s at the top of the list, number 24, and everybody knows him. But beside him, there was a lot of new faces that year. Like that Jeremy Lin, who came over from Houston. He wasn’t bad, did what he could at point guard. Don’t forget that Carlos Boozer they picked up after Chicago let him go. Big fella, strong as an ox, but I don’t know if he fit in quite right with the Lakers’ plans.
Let’s talk ‘bout them youngsters too
- Julius Randle, a big ol’ boy from Kentucky. They drafted him, and he had some real promise, though he got hurt early on and missed a big chunk of the season. Bad luck, I tell ya.
- Then there was Jordan Clarkson, a young guard who really showed up that year. He had some real fire in him, running around like he owned the place. Didn’t matter much though with the season bein’ what it was.
- Wayne Ellington, another shooter they had. He could shoot alright, but the Lakers weren’t winning much that year. Still, you could see he had some skills.
- Wesley Johnson, he was supposed to be a good forward, but like most of ‘em, didn’t quite click in that season. Folks said he was inconsistent, and I guess they were right.
- And then you got the likes of Jordan Hill and Tarik Black. Hill, he was in the center spot, not too tall but tough as nails. Black, another big body, took up space and did his job.
Now, the coach of that team was Byron Scott. Not a bad coach, but he couldn’t work miracles with the pieces he had. I reckon even he was a bit puzzled by how bad things turned out. The team was all over the place. Some games they looked good, but too many they just couldn’t get it together.
In fact, that season was one of the roughest for the Lakers in a long time. You know, for a team with so much history, it’s tough to swallow when you got more losses than wins. But that’s the way it went in 2014-15. Some players stepped up, others didn’t. The injuries hurt ‘em, too. Kobe was hurt, Randle was hurt, and some of them others just couldn’t make it happen when it counted.
But, let me tell ya, they got through it!
By the end of the season, the Lakers was lookin’ for a fresh start, hopin’ to get back on track for the next year. Some of them guys stuck around, others moved on, but that’s the way it goes in basketball, you know. Always somethin’ new comin’ in.

So there you have it, folks—the 2014-15 Los Angeles Lakers roster. A bunch of players tryin’ their best, some good moments, but a lot of hard times too. If you wanna remember that year, just know they gave it their all, even if the record don’t show it. But hey, the Lakers always find a way back, don’t they?
