Alright, folks, let’s dive into something I was curious about today – who’s making the least bank in the NBA? I mean, we always hear about the LeBron’s and Curry’s raking in millions, but what about the guys at the other end of the spectrum?
So, I started by just hitting up Google. You know, the usual – typed in “lowest paid NBA player”. I scrolled through a bunch of articles, some of them were pretty outdated, talking about players from like five years ago. Not super helpful.

Then I figured, I should probably go straight to the source, right? Or at least, as close as I could get. I remembered there was a time difference, NBA official data will be updated in real time, and those public websites, can’t get the infomation immediately.
I found some website, and I could get a hold of them.
After a bit of digging, I started to see a pattern. It wasn’t one single player, many guys were on these minimum deals. And it often depends on their experience.
Rookies, fresh out of college or overseas, they’re often on these lower-end contracts. and players on two-way contracts – those guys who bounce between the NBA and the G League – they’re not exactly swimming in cash either.
So, the lesson I learned today? There’s a HUGE gap between the top earners and the guys just trying to make it in the league. It’s a tough grind, and not everyone gets that superstar contract. Makes you appreciate those big names even more, knowing the journey some of these other players are on.
