Okay, here’s my take on “Should I Buy NBA 2K24”, written in the style of a personal blog post:
So, NBA 2K24 dropped, and like every year, I was staring at the store page, that little voice in my head going, “Do I really need another one?” I’ve been playing 2K since, well, forever, and I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. This year, I decided to really think it through before hitting that “Buy” button. Here are my process.

My usual steps.
First, I checked out some gameplay videos. Not the fancy trailers, mind you, but actual gameplay from regular folks. You know, to see if the graphics had actually improved or if it was just the same old thing with shinier sweat.
I looked at the player movement, tried to see if the AI was any smarter, and if there were any glaring glitches. 2K games have been known for, shall we say, “interesting” physics at times.
Read,Read and Read!
Then, I dove into the forums and Reddit. Gotta get the real scoop, right? I scrolled through posts about the MyCareer mode – is it still a grind-fest? Are the microtransactions even more aggressive this year? What about the new features? Are they actually new, or just re-skinned stuff from previous games?
I paid close attention to what people were complaining about. Every game has its issues, but are they deal-breakers? For example, if everyone’s saying the servers are constantly crashing, that’s a big red flag for me. I also looked at the good.
Think about my own status.
- Am I really going to have time to play this?
- Do I want to spend hours grinding just to upgrade my player?
- I don’t like to pay for any vitual things.
- Is it worth the money, or should I just stick with 2K23 for a while longer?
Finally I decided to wait and see if any problems can be sloved.
