Okay, so I saw this “Destructors Championship 2024” thing pop up, and I was like, “What the heck is that?” I’m always up for trying new stuff, especially if it involves blowing things up, even if it’s just virtual. So, I decided to jump in and see what it was all about.
Figuring Out What It Was
First thing I did was, you know, look it up. Turns out, it’s some kind of competition where you build and battle these…well, destructors. I guess they’re like robots or machines designed to smash each other. Sounded pretty cool, but also kinda complicated.

Getting Started
I downloaded whatever software or platform they were using. I’m not gonna lie, it took me a bit to figure out the interface. Lots of buttons and menus. I poked around for a while, clicked on everything, just to see what it did. Classic me. I think the first thing I built ended with self destruction.
Building My First Destructor (and Failing)
I decided to go with a simple design for my first try. Like a box with a big hammer on it. Seemed straightforward, right? Wrong. I spent, like, an hour just trying to get the hammer to swing properly. It kept either flopping around uselessly or just straight-up breaking off. It was incredibly fun, but frustrating.
- Attempt 1: The hammer fell off.
- Attempt 2: The whole thing tipped over.
- Attempt 3: It exploded. (I’m not even sure how.)
Finally, I had my simple box and hammer, and it’s working. So, I hit into the next stage to test my build.
My First Battle (It Was a Disaster)
I entered my box-with-a-hammer into a beginner match. I was feeling pretty good, thinking, “Yeah, this is gonna be easy.” Nope. My opponent had this crazy spinning thing with spikes and lasers. My poor little hammer-bot didn’t stand a chance. It got ripped to shreds in, like, five seconds. It was brutal, but also hilarious to see my simple build destroyed so quickly.
Back to the Drawing Board
After that total defeat, I realized I needed to up my game. I watched some replays of other matches to get some ideas. People were building some seriously intricate stuff. I spent the next few hours experimenting with different designs, weapons, and movement systems. I learned a lot through trial and error, mostly error. I blew up my own creations more times than I can count.
Slightly Less Disastrous Results
My next few attempts were…better. Still not great, but at least I lasted longer than five seconds in a match. I even managed to win a couple of rounds! It felt good to see some progress, even if it was just a tiny bit.
The Grind Continues
I’m still pretty new to this whole Destructors Championship thing, but I’m having a blast. It’s definitely a challenge, but a fun one. I’m slowly getting better, learning new tricks, and building more destructive machines. I’m nowhere near winning any championships, but I’m definitely enjoying the process of figuring things out and, of course, blowing stuff up.
If you’re looking for a new, and challenging thing to try, you might want to give it a shot. Just be prepared to fail…a lot. But hey, that’s half the fun, right?
