Okay, so I’ve been a huge Notre Dame football fan my entire life. I mean, who isn’t, right? The history, the tradition… it’s amazing. But lately, I’ve been wondering about something kinda basic: is their field made of real grass or that artificial turf stuff?
I started poking around, you know, just casually searching online. I figured it would be a quick answer. Turns out, it’s a bit more interesting than I thought!

Digging into the Details
I started by checking some fan forums, and there was a lot of back and forth. Some people were sure it was always grass, others were saying they switched to turf a while back. It was a mess!
So I moved on to more, uh, “official” sources. I looked at some sports news sites, and eventually, I hit the Notre Dame Athletics website. It was a great source
- The field is currently using artifical turf.I finally got the answer. They play on artifical turf field.
- They switched to artificial turf in 2014..It’s new for a team that played many years on grass.
So there you have it. I started with a simple question, did a little digging, and got my answer.
It’s artifical turf,And That is my journey of my practice today.
