Okay, so, I’ve been trying to figure out this whole NFL ticket thing on Roku, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I’m not the most tech-savvy person, but I’m determined to watch my games without cable. I just wanted to watch football on my TV, you know?
So, I started with what I knew. I got this Roku, and it’s pretty good for most things. I figured, “Hey, there must be a way to get the NFL on here.” I started to search on the channels.

First, I tried NBC. Apparently, you can get Sunday Night Football on there. I also checked out Peacock. They said you can stream lots of other stuff on Peacock, like movies and other TV shows, even those “Originals” they’re always talking about. Seemed easy enough, right? I added the channel and tried to check it out.
- NBC: I thought it might have all the games, but it seems like it’s just Sunday Night Football. I added the channel to my Roku.
- Peacock: I also tried Peacock. They say they have a “Premium” version where you can watch movies, TV shows and even live sports. I subscribed to that.
- Sling: Someone told me about Sling, so I looked into that too. They say you can watch live TV, including sports channels like ESPN. I signed up for a trial.
- Hulu: I already had Hulu, so I checked that out. It says you can watch live sports on there, including Monday Night Football. Nice.
- Tubi: This one was a surprise. I found it while browsing. It’s free, but I didn’t see any live sports on there. Just movies and some TV shows.
What I tried:
But then I heard about Sling. Now, Sling is interesting. It’s like having cable, but without the actual cable box. It lets you watch live channels, including ESPN, which is big for sports. I thought, “Maybe this is the solution!” I went ahead and signed up for a trial.
Then I remembered I already had Hulu. Turns out, Hulu also has live sports. They mentioned Monday Night Football, and WNBA Playoffs, so that’s something. I was already paying for it, so at least I didn’t have to add another subscription.
I even stumbled upon Tubi. It’s a free app with movies and TV shows, but no live sports. It’s decent for other stuff, but not what I was looking for this time.
The thing is, none of these options are really like the actual NFL Sunday Ticket. That has all the games, but it’s a whole different thing. I am still figuring it out, but I thought I’d share my experience so far. So, I’m still on the hunt. Maybe I’ll figure it out eventually. If anyone has any tips, let me know!
