Okay, so, the other day, I saw this thing called “shadow boxing” on TikTok, and I got curious. What even is that? So, I decided to dig into it a little bit.
First, I googled “what is shadow boxing.” Man, there was a ton of stuff about it! It’s like, boxing but without a real opponent, just you and your shadow. I saw some videos of people doing it, and it looked kinda cool, like a workout.

So, I thought, why not try this myself? I mean, I’m no boxer, but it seemed like something fun to do. I cleared some space in my living room, put on some music, and just started moving. I threw some punches in the air, moved around like those people in the videos, and you know what? It was kinda fun!
The Process
- First, I watched a few more videos to get an idea of the moves.
- Then, I tried to copy what they were doing.
- I punched, I dodged, I moved my feet – the whole shebang.
It was tougher than I expected, though. I got tired pretty quickly. But I kept at it for a bit, just having fun with it. I even started making up my own moves, like a little dance or something.
My Thoughts
After trying it out, I get why people like it. It’s a good way to get some exercise, and it’s kinda cool to imagine you’re fighting someone, even if it’s just your shadow. Plus, you can do it anywhere, no need for any fancy equipment or anything.
I think I’ll try shadow boxing again sometime. Maybe I’ll even get better at it, who knows? It’s definitely a fun way to move your body and get a little workout in. And hey, it’s free! So if you are curious, you should try this at home!
