Okay, so I wanted to figure out how to do this whole NFL Combine thing in Madden 24. It always looked pretty cool, and I figured it would be a fun part of the game to mess around with.
First, I started the game and headed straight into the Superstar Mode. That’s where the Combine stuff happens. I spent some time making my player. I didn’t get too crazy with the customization, just picked some basic stuff to get going.
Next, I moved into the actual Combine part. You got all these drills, like the 40-yard dash, the vertical jump, and some agility tests. I tried each one a few times, just to get a feel for them. Honestly, the 40-yard dash is pretty straightforward, just run as fast as you can. The vertical jump is all about timing your button press, which took me a couple of tries to get right. The agility drills, like the shuttle run, were a little trickier. You have to be quick with the joystick, and I definitely messed up a few times before I got the hang of it.
There’s also this interview part. You get asked all these questions, and apparently, how you answer can affect your draft stock. I just picked answers that I thought sounded good and didn’t overthink it too much. Some of the questions were kind of weird, though.
My Results
- 40-Yard Dash: I managed to get a pretty good time, somewhere in the 4.4-second range. I was happy with that.
- Vertical Jump: My jumps were decent, nothing spectacular. I think I hit around 35 inches or so.
- Agility Drills: These were my weakest area, to be honest. I struggled a bit with the timing and precision. My scores weren’t terrible, but they definitely could have been better.
- Interview: I have no idea how I did here. I just hope I didn’t say anything too dumb.
After all that, I checked my projected draft stock. It seemed like I did okay. I landed somewhere in the mid-rounds, which is fine by me. I wasn’t expecting to be a top pick or anything.
So, that’s basically how you do the NFL Combine in Madden 24. It’s a fun little addition to the game. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually get picked in the first round, haha!
