Today I wanted to play some NBA 2K24 MyTEAM, but I ran into a little problem. I started an unlimited game and found myself stuck controlling just one player. It was weird because I didn’t remember turning on player lock. So, I had to figure out how to turn it off. Here is what I did.
- First, I paused the game. I was in the middle of a match, and obviously, I couldn’t mess around with settings while playing.
- Then, I went to the options. I scrolled through the menu, looking for anything related to controls or gameplay settings. It took a little bit of digging.
- I found a setting called “Controller Settings.” Bingo! This seemed like the right place. I selected it and looked at the available options.
- Inside controller settings, there was an option for “Player Lock.” It was turned on! I have no idea how it got switched on, but there it was.
- I toggled the “Player Lock” setting to “Off.” This was pretty straightforward. I just switched it to the off position, and that was that.
- Finally, I exited the menus and resumed the game. Back in the game, I could now control all my players again. It was a relief.
It was a bit of a hassle to have to quit a game just to turn off a setting I didn’t even know was on. But now I know where to find it if it ever happens again. I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else runs into this issue. It is not a big deal, but it can be annoying if you are not used to playing with player lock on.
After fixing that, I played a few more games. It felt much better to have full control over my team again. I even managed to win a couple of matches. No more player lock for me!
